News: Thieves remove alarm and drive away with stolen Land Rover in the middle of the night

Thieves have broken into an industrial estate in the middle of the night and stolen an SUV.

The incident took place at Fairfield Industrial Estate in Louth at 12.32am on Monday, July 8.

Three offenders were caught on CCTV entering the compound at 11.32pm the previous day to remove the alarm.

The perimeter gate was unlocked as a result and they were able to drive the SUV away from the Thompson & Smith site on the estate.

A spokesperson for Louth Police said: “Land Rovers currently appear to be the vehicle of choice for thieves due to the recent increase in their value.

“If you see anything suspicious please report it! Thank you.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 and quote incident 97 of July 8.
