News: Do the dark clouds above Lincolnshire bode rain? Here’s the weeks weather for Lincoln, Boston, Skegness, Mablethorpe, Sleaford and Retford

Another Lincolnshire Highlights news story…

The summer holidays are on the horizon and temperatures are well and truly warming up.

If you aren’t jetting off to warmer climates,  you’ll be pleased to know that you won’t miss out on the warm temperatures with highs of 23 celsius across Lincolnshire next week.

But much like recent weeks the temperamental weather looks set to continue with showers and potential thunderstorms forecast for later in the week.

So what does the weather have in store where you live? You can find out in the weather forecast below: 

Lincoln

The week will be largely cloudy with the odd sunny spell in the evening on Sunday and Monday evening. Thursday and Friday are likely to see rain.

The Met Office has predicted a 50 per cent chance of thunder, lightening and heavy around 4pm on Thursday.

Temperatures likely to see highs of 18 degrees celsius on Monday rising to 23 degrees celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Thursday will see a high of 21 degrees celsius.

Friday will see a high of 20 degrees celsius.

Boston

Monday to Thursday will be largely overcast with the odd period of sunshine.

Rain is forecast for Thursday evening around 4pm. 

Rain is also predicated for around 1pm on Friday.

Temperatures will raise from a high of 18 degrees celsius on Monday and will peak at a high of 22 degrees celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The heat will fall slightly to a high of 21 degrees celsius on Thursday and 20 degrees celsius on Friday.

Sleaford

Largely overcast Monday with sunny intervals breaking out in the evening.

Tuesday will see a strong chance of sunny intervals but cloud returns on Wednesday.

Scattered showers are forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures will hit a high of 23 degrees celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Highs are forecast to be 22 degrees celsius on Thursday and 19 degrees celsius on Friday.

Skegness

Most of Monday will be overcast with the sun making an appearance from around 4pm.

Sunny intervals are also forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday with rain expected Thursday lunchtime and scattered showers are expected throughout Friday.

Temperatures are expected to peak on Wednesday at 21 degrees celsius.

There will be a high of 20 degrees celsius on Thursday and 19 degrees celsius on Friday.

Mablethorpe

Monday will be overcast in the morning and early afternoon but the sun is set to appear from around 2pm.

Tuesday will see a mixture of sunshine and cloud with showers expected briefly around 4pm.

There could be sun in the morning Wednesday which will turn to cloud from around 4pm onward.

Rain is expected from around 1pm on Thursday, the same pattern is expected Friday.

Temperatures will reach a peak of 21 degrees celsius on Wednesday and Thursday, and 19 degrees celsius on Friday.

Retford

Monday will be largely cloudy with the odd sunny spell in the evening. There will be sunny intervals in Tuesday morning with the cloud returning in the afternoon. Wednesday will remain largely cloudy.

Rain is set to make an appearance on Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Temperatures will range from a high of 21 degrees celsius on Monday, this will rise to a high 22 degrees celsius on Tuesday afternoon and 23 degrees celsius on Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday will see a slight drop 21 and 19 degrees respectively.
